WHERE THE RUBBER HITS THE ROAD.

I was reading Psalm 129 today.

I know that I can sing that song Just as Israel did.

There have been occasions when Man has tried to knock me down. Most of the time I have not really understood the reason why man had done what he has done I just know that he has really hurt me but without explanation. Man has tried to do away with me and I have the marks on my back to prove it. When man has knocked me down on some of those occasions I have been down for the count of eight but God has always been there to lift me back up. I stand today because of God and because I have built my life on the foundation of Jesus Christ through His word.

When man does something to you what do you do? Who do you trust? Yourself or God? I am reminded about a young boy who was being asked to renounce Jesus Christ as saviour and Lord. He did not so they cut off one of his fingers and asked him again. He still refused. I am not sure how many fingers but I know the boy did not renounce Christ. Makes me think what would I do? His family had taught him well.
