For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— Eph. 2:8 (NIV)

BY GRACE

I have been saved by Grace. I do not deserve it but God has granted me forgiveness of all my sins. Sins that I have already committed and sins that I will commit. Now I have done nothing to deserve this. I have this forgiveness because Jesus Christ died and rose again and paid the penalty for my sin even though He did not deserve to die. God the father loves me so much that He sent His son to come and live as a man, be tempted as a man, yet He never sinned. He never allowed the temptation to have the better of him. What he showed was that man can live without sin but only through God However, we choose to sin. We do not deserve this gift from God but it is there for us to accept and have the full benefits of. It is a gift of grace.

THROUGH FAITH.

Even when we accept this wonderful gift from God we do it because we believe what God has said in His word, the Bible. God said it, I believe it and that is a step of Faith. However, that Faith is also a gift from God. So, you see, I cannot boast about my salvation in any way because it was all a gift from God.
Why does God show me Grace and give me the gift of Faith? Because He loves me unconditionally.
