LOVE ONE ANOTHER

“BY THIS EVERYONE WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES, IF YOULOVE ONE ANOTHER.” JOHN 13:35

Do people know who you love? The other weekend I was the volunteer supervisor in the Transformation Rehab House and when I got to church I walked up to my wife and without thinking I just gave her a passionate kiss. Not overboard. Just a loving kiss. There was another lady who witnessed this and said she thought it was great that we did what we did because it showed we loved each other. I am not saying we have to go around giving kisses to everyone. What I am saying is do we really care about the people? Do you remember when someone is away and enquire the next time you see them to check if they are alright? You are telling them, “Hey, I noticed you were not here and I just want to make sure you are OK. When someone goes on holiday do you ask them how their holiday was? Do you really care? Or do you just forget all about it and go on to the next day and the next person, never really showing interest or concern? That is not love. 
Love is patient, kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it does not dishonour others, is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Am I demonstrating love to you?
